Funding - what we look for in a business  

For funding assignments NSConsulting looks for properly structured businesses which can be either early stage with a short trading history or well established companies.  We also look for MBI/MBO and M&A management teams looking for sources of competitive appropriate funding.  We do not impose turnover maximums or minimums or levels of profits or losses; we look at each case on its own merits.

As we will be offering you a bespoke funding service, we expect to see a well thought out business plan with a minimum of three years' forecasts (we prefer five years) and current management accounts available on demand.

We also expect management teams to be able to demonstrate they understand their plans and forecasts and have a good grasp of the underlying strategies upon which they have based their plans and, finally, to produce evidence of well thought through contingency planning based on multiple scenarios.  Where we find deficiencies in these areas we will offer assistance and constructive suggestions in order to create materials suitable for investor decision making processes.

NSConsulting will engage with companies of all shapes and sizes including start-ups where there are proper plans, clear proofs of concept, firm orders and evidence of a business ready to roll.
